GS Medical Q3 sales drop 8%: 5 key notes

GS Medical reported third quarter sales were down 8 percent over the prior year.

Here are five key notes from the report:

 

1. Although sales were down, the company had a strong second quarter and expects the fourth quarter sales to do well with new resources in sales channels and new product launches.

 

2. The company received two new patents and plans to continue developing new technologies for spine pathologies and disorders. "Our R&D and engineering team has been expanded and continues to partner with our surgeons to find efficienceies in procedures, make enhancements to current products and build new technology platforms," said CEO James Shin.

 

3. GS Medical is also launching training opportunities this month in Bangkok, Thailand, to learn about the technology.

 

4. At the North American Spine Society annual meeting, GS Medical plans to roll out new results-oriented distributor program to redefine and differentiate the company and its sales channels within the marketplace.

 

5. The company plans to expand upon new horizons to sustain existing and create new business opportunities and partnerships.
