SeaSpine unveils Vu a∙POD Prime NanoMetalene System for full commercial launch — 5 highlights

Carlsbad, Calif.-based SeaSpine is commercially launching its Vu a•POD Prime NanoMetalene System.

Here are five highlights:

 

1. The standalone anterior lumbar interbody device may be altered for various footprints and lordosis combinations.

 

2. The system is intended to quicken the healing process and enhance long-term outcomes.

 

3. The NanoMetalene implants feature titanium surfaces while still encompassing benefits of PEEK devices, like biocompatibility and elasticity similar to bone.

 

4. Invibio holds a registered trademark on PEEK-OPTIMA, but SeaSpine uses the material under license.

 

5. SeaSpine's portfolio consists of orthobiologics and spinal fusion devices for lumbar, thoracic and cervical spine fusions.
