Todd H. Lanman, MD, of Beverly Hills, Calif.-based Lanman Spinal Neurosurgery, unveiled his 4D Health Approach for one-and two-level total disc replacement.
Here are five key notes:
1. The 4D Health Approach is holistic and takes into consideration a patient's overall health, ailments, environment and future aspirations.
2. Specifically, the approach addresses nutrition, exercise and supplementation to shorten recovery, improve wound healing and enhance strength following surgery.
3. Dr. Lanman uses the Prestige LP artificial disc, composed of titanium-ceramic composite, for disc replacement procedures.
4. Dr. Lanman served as the principal investigator on the FDA trial testing the Prestige LP disc, which was approved for one or two adjacent levels in the cervical spine in 2016.
5. Dr. Lanman is an American Board of Neurological Surgery diplomate and an American College of Surgeons fellow.
