Zimmer Biomet is transferring dozens of its Puerto Rican employees to its headquarters in Warsaw, Ind., after Hurricane Maria devastated the territory last fall, WPTA21.com reports.
Here are three things you need to know:
1. Columbia City, Ind., leaders project around 45 of those workers and their families will move there, adding about 200 people to the 9,000-person town.
2. Parts of Puerto Rico still do not have reliable sources of power.
3. The Whitley County Chamber of Commerce is planning a resource fair to help the transplanted employees and their families adjust to their new location.
