Integra LifeSciences signs lease for new site, bringing 200 jobs to Mansfield: 4 things to know

Medical device manufacturer Integra LifeSciences agreed to lease a 110,000-square-foot portion of an industrial building at Cabot Business Park in Mansfield, Mass., according to The Sun Chronicle. Nearly 200 employees at Integra's Raynham, Mass. site will relocate to Mansfield.

Here are four things to know:

 

1. The Mansfield location will include offices, a clean room and research and development space in addition to manufacturing facilities. The site will be involved in making several neurosurgery products including perforators, cotton patties, intracranial pressure sensor kits and forceps.

 

2. The location, formerly occupied by electronic equipment company Datel, is currently undergoing major renovations.

 

3. Integra also has an office and laboratory in Billica, Mass., and a manufacturing operation in Boston.

 

4. According to Kevin Breeden, senior vice president for Integra's Codman Specialty Surgical Division,, the company plans to move its office operations into the building as a first step and continue to build out the facility through 2020.
