Stryker is now expected to face a bribery case against Brazilian insurer Associacao Brasileira de Medicina de Grupo, also known as Abramge, in the U.S. court system, according to Reuters.
Here are three insights.
1. The 6th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals overturned the lower-court's decision, requiring Stryker to face jurisdiction in the U.S.
2. Last year, a U.S. court deemed the bribery case against Stryker and the Brazilian insurer needed to be conducted in Brazil.
3. Abramge accused Stryker of paying bribes and kickbacks to local physicians to use their products.
