Implanet entered into a distribution agreement with Sydney, Australia-based Kico Knee Innovation Company.
Here are five details:
1. Per the agreement, Kico Knee will market and distribute Implanet's Madison Knee prosthesis.
2. The agreement will initially cover high-potential markets of the U.S. and Australia on a non-exclusive basis.
3. Once it hits the threshold of 1,000 Madison implants within a one-year period, Kico will then gain exclusive rights to Madison knee prosthesis as well as an option for a manufacturing license.
4. Designed to tailor each knee replacement procedure to the individual, Kico implants are created over a series of stages, including pre-operative patient profiling, creation of a patient-specific rehabilitation program and generation of 3D surgical plans.
5. More than 17,000 Madison knee prostheses have been implanted since 2010, Implanet CEO Ludovic Lastennet said.
