Globus Medical launches expandable interspinous fixation system: 3 things to know

Spinal Tech

Globus Medical launched Aerial, its minimally invasive interspinous fixation system with interlocking plates for spinal fusions.

Three things to know:

1. Aerial's expandable core provides continuous distraction for indirect decompression and can be customized to fit the interspinous space of each patient's spine.

2. It is a posterior non-pedicle fixation device, intended for use at a single level in the non-cervical spine.

3. Aerial aims to achieve supplemental fusion in cases of degenerative disc disease, spondylolisthesis, trauma and tumor, and is not intended for standalone use.
