SeaSpine launches lateral interbody fusion system — 3 insights

Spinal Tech

Surgical devices company SeaSpine began the full commercial launch of its Regatta Lateral System.

What you should know:

1. The Regatta system is a minimally invasive lateral interbody fusion system.

2. Clinicians can use the system to treat a patient's spine using indirect decompression, while restoring sagittal alignment.

3. SeaSpine conducted lateral sales training and a surgeon education program ahead of the commercial launch. The company held a summit with lateral surgeons to showcase the device, which it expects to do on an annual basis.

"The full launch of Regatta allows us to make this important procedural solution available to more of our distribution partners and surgeons. We are confident that it will be an important driver of our future revenue growth, beginning in the second half of 2019," said Dennis Cirino, SeaSpine senior vice president of global spinal systems.
