DePuy launches system to improve fixation in complex cervical spine disorders

Spinal Tech

DePuy Synthes recently launched its Symphony Occipito-Cervico-Thoracic system for patients with complex cervical spine disorders.

Four insights:

1. The Symphony system is designed to improve fixation in patients with suboptimal bone quality while decreasing surgical costs and the complexity of surgeries.

2. The device aims to streamline surgeries by improving fixation, alignment, targeting and extensions for surgeons.

3. Symphony decreases the number of instrument trays from six to two by enabling crossing of the cervical to thoracic junction with one system.

4. It features a range of instruments and implants to stabilize the spine in patients undergoing posterior cervical fusion.
