Four things to know:
1. The acquisition is Conventus' first step in expanding into the lower extremity orthopedics market.
2. Intrafuse is a startup medical device company operated by Surgical Frontiers.
3. The company develops intramedullary implants for minimally invasive fracture repairs.
4. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
