Anika Therapeutics on Jan. 24 acquired privately-held sports medicine company Parcus Medical.
Three insights:
1. Anika acquired all membership interests for $35 million with $60 million in potential incentives.
2. Parcus Medical's product portfolio facilitates surgeries of the shoulder, knee, hip and distal extremities.
3. The acquisition grants Anika access to the ASC market, which may lead to new revenue streams.
