Integrity Implants' expandable cage shows positive fusion rate in retrospective study

Spinal Tech

The FlareHawk expandable cage, developed by Integrity Implants, demonstrated efficient fusion rates in a recent retrospective study.

Four insights:

1. Of the 58 participants, 56 patients — or 96.6 percent — achieved fusion based on Bridwell-Lenke grading.

2. Domagoj Coric, MD, chief of neurosurgery at Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte, N.C., was principal investigator of the study.

3. FlareHawk features a PEEK shell that is compressed and inserted within the intervertebral disc space, where it expands to a larger footprint and height.

4. More than 6,400 FlareHawk cages have been implanted in more than 4,300 patients.
