Nexxt Spine launches 3D-printed titanium corpectomy cage

Spinal Tech

Nexxt Spine on March 31 launched its Matrixx corpectomy system for spine surgery.

Three insights:

1. The FDA cleared the 3D-printed titanium cage for use in the cervical spine and thoracolumbar spine in skeletally mature patients.

2. The Matrixx system is designed to replace a diseased or damaged vertebral body and for reconstruction after a corpectomy to achieve decompression of the spinal cord and neural tissues in degenerative disorders.

3. The device features a roughened surface and inferior/superior teeth that provide initial stabilization.
