Synthes Gmbh, a Johnson and Johnson medical device company, on June 29 renewed a five-year corporation agreement with the AO Foundation, a global network of surgeons.
Under the agreement, DePuy Synthes will continue to support AO Foundation's educational programs and develop trauma and corrective surgery techniques, implants and instruments for the spine, craniomaxillofacial and musculoskeletal systems.
The partnership aims to identify and address "compelling needs in orthopedic surgical care," said Aldo Denti, company group chair of DePuy Synthes.
Since 1960, DePuy Synthes and AO Foundation have worked together to advance outcomes and care efficiency in orthopedics.
