Spinal implant manufacturer Zavation Medical Products on Aug. 25 launched its PEEK posterior lateral expandable interbody fusion cage.
Three things to know:
1. The posterior LEIF implant is designed for lumbar spinal fusion procedures.
2. The cage provides stability in a design that facilitates posterior or transforaminal approaches to the lumbar spine.
3. The implant is intended to be used in patients who have had six months of nonsurgical care for the treatment of degenerative disc disease with up to grade one spondylolisthesis.
