Coracoid Solutions, an orthopedic device company founded by two surgeons, has secured investment from Parvizi Surgical Innovation, according to a Sept. 9 news release.

The company was founded by Nathaniel Cohen, MD, and Phil Davidson, MD, who have more than 20 years of experience developing medical devices.

Coracoid Solutions is developing a minimally invasive system to facilitate acromioclavicular joint reconstruction.

The company's debut products have received patents and FDA 510(k) clearance. Drs. Cohen and Davidson hope to extend the products' applications to cerclage and soft tissue fixation.

The Parvizi Surgical Innovation partnership aims to further develop the technologies and lead them through commercialization.
