Spine-focused medical technology company Surgalign has named Marc Mackey as executive vice president of digital surgery.
Mr. Mackey will lead the company's efforts to redefine and lead digital surgery in his newly created position, according to an April 14 press release.
He will also assume leadership of Surgalign's digital surgery team that was formed after the company acquired Chicago-based technology company Holo Surgical in September 2020.
Mr. Mackey has more than 25 years of experience in orthopedic and surgical technology. He spent more than 20 years at Brainlab, leading the orthopedic division prior to its acquisition by Smith+Nephew in 2019. After the acquisition, Mr. Mackey became the leader of the digital surgery and robotics division.
