Kansas City, Mo.-based St. Joseph Medical Center debuted the 7D Surgical Flash navigation system.
The Flash navigation system is a fast, accurate and radiation-free tool to help with placing spinal implants. It uses machine-vision image-guided surgery technology for more efficient workflow and enhanced patient safety.
St. Joseph Medical Center is the first hospital to implement the technology in the Kansas City region, according to an April 12 news release. SSM Health St. Joseph Hospital-Lake St. Louis was reportedly the first in the state to add the system.
7D Surgical is also set to be acquired by SeaSpine.
