The American Orthopaedic Society for Sport Medicine named Lazurite's ArthoFree arthroscopy camera as the inaugural recipient of the ACE (Accelerating the Cutting Edge) Award.

The ArthroFree system is a wireless, minimally invasive camera system that uses Lazurite's proprietary low heat, high intensity Meridien light engine, according to a July 12 news release. It's expected to be the first FDA-approved device of its kind, and the company expects to launch it in 2022.

The ACE Award was open to more than 80 exhibitors at the AOSSM's annual meeting. Products introduced since July 2020 were eligible.
