Hip Innovation Technology received FDA approval to start a clinical study examining its reverse hip replacement system.
The study will look at the safety and efficacy of Hip Innovation Technology's system in total hip patients, according to a Jan. 18 news release. Results will be evaluated with clinical, radiologic and patient-reported outcomes.
The reverse hip replacement system is a metal-on-polyethylene reverse geometry hip prosthesis. It's designed to improve stability at extended ranges of motion and reduce the risk of dislocation.
