Arlen Hanssen, MD, is an orthopedic surgeon at Rochester, Minn.-based Mayo Clinic.
With more than 30 years of experience in the medical field, Dr. Hanssen serves as an orthopedic surgery professor at Mayo Clinic College of Medicine in Rochester.
Dr. Hanssen is past president of both The Knee Society and the Musculoskeletal Infection Society. He is the recipient of numerous honors, including the Musculoskeletal Infection Society's Jeanette Wilkins Research Award and over a dozen research grants.
Dr. Hanssen has published more than 150 peer-reviewed articles and 60 book chapters.
After earning his medical degree from Saint Louis University School of Medicine, Dr. Hanssen completed an orthopedic surgery residency at Mayo Clinic.
