Riverside Orthopedics and Sports Medicine Specialists reports high patient engagement for its newly launched digital program, called Joint University.
The program, which the Newport News, Va.-based system launched in 2021, both educates patients and engages with them on plans to optimize recovery, according to an Aug. 15 press release.
The digital microsite contains patient surveys, taken both pre- and post- procedure, and joint replacement content.
"Since the launch of the Joint University microsite, we have seen an incredible response from our patients, with a 99 percent participation rate for those undergoing total knee replacement," Doug Culbert, Riverside's associate VP of orthopedics said in the release.
"This valuable tool has not only improved clinical outcomes, but also has improved our patients' experience and level of satisfaction with the care they have received," Mr. Culbert said. "With the addition of the new surveys and content to the platform, patients are provided another avenue to provide direct feedback to our clinical team throughout their joint replacement journey."
