Kenneth Akizuki, MD, on Sept. 4 performed knee surgery on Brandon Belt of the San Francisco Giants, according to NBC Sports.
The procedure was the third on Mr. Belt's right knee. In 2015, he had surgery to repair a torn meniscus. Three years later, he went under the knife again, with that surgery including a microfracture, according to the report.
Mr. Belt is expected to rehab for about two months, giving him time to get ready for next season, according to CBS Sports.
