Nonprofit patient safety organization Surgical Review Corporation designated Shreveport, La.-based Willis-Knighton Health System as a Center of Excellence in robotic surgery, Bossier Press-Tribune said Jan. 19.
Willis-Knighton earned the distinction through an assessment and inspection process, wherein Surgical Review Corporation evaluated the health system on surgical volumes, facility equipment, clinical pathways, standardized operating procedures, patient education and quality assessment.
"We're proud to recognize Willis-Knighton Health System for its commitment to advancing and providing quality care for all patients," Surgical Review CEO Gary Pratt said. "This accreditation signals that this hospital is among the best in this specialty and is dedicated to delivering the highest level of care possible."
