ExcelsiusGPS expands use in Australia

Physicians have employed Globus Medical's ExcelsiusGPS robot in Sydney, Australia for the first time.

Dr. Jun Kim completed the first cases at Westmead Private Hospital in Sydney, according to a July 28 news release. Dr. Gordon Dandie, head of neurosurgery at the same hospital, also used the device for a direct lateral spine procedure.

ExcelsiusGPS combines a robotic arm and full navigation technologies. It is designed to streamline workflow and reduce radiation exposure.
