Here are four hospitals and health systems adding robotic surgery systems to assist in joint replacement surgeries that Becker's has reported on since April 19:
1. Goshen (Ind.) Orthopedics became the only practice in the county to add a Mako robot for hip and knee replacements.
2. Long Island Jewish Forest Hills Hospital in New York City added a Stryker Mako robot for hip and knee replacements.
3. DuBois, Pa.-based Penn Highlands Healthcare is now using the second generation Mako SmartRobotic software in partial and total knee replacement surgeries.
4. Price, Utah-based Castleview Hospital now offers robot-assisted knee and hip replacement surgery with Zimmer Biomet's Rosa System.
