Orthopedic surgeons R. Alexander Creighton, MD, of the University of North Carolina Memorial Hospital in Chapel Hill and Clifford Wheeless, MD, at Duke Raleigh Hospital, have performed joint reconstructions using new instrumentation and ceramic bone fillers from KARL STORZ, according to a Fort Mill Times report. The procedures were developed in Germany by Prof. Dr. Klaus D. Draenert and are part of the KARL STORZ Endoscopy product line. The instruments are designed for enhanced precision during joint replacement procedures.
