Exactech Posts 9.2% Gross Profit Increase in Q2, Sees Spine Revenue Up 6% This Year

Gainesville, Fla.-based Exactech posted a 9.2 percent increase in gross profit in the second quarter over the same period last year. The company's gross profit totaled $41.5 million, up from 2012's $38 million. In the first six months of the year, Exactech's revenue has increased from $113.8 million to $119.9 million, or 5 percent.

So far this year, knee, extremity and hip implant revenue all decreased. However, biologics and spine revenue jumped 6 percent to $12.9 million.
