Aesculap launched a new generation of the Acculan 3Ti surgical motor system used in orthopedics, traumatology and cardiothoracic surgery, according to a company news release.
The Acculan 3Ti includes a detachable battery pack to avoid steam sterilization of the battery cells and electronic components. Operation modes include a drill mode clockwise and counterclockwise, oscillating and tapping. The battery can be changed during an ongoing surgery.
