Spinal Tech

Laser Spine Institute is participating in two upcoming clinical trials.

Here are six key notes:

1. The institute has been selected as a clinical site for trials conducted by both Spinal Kinetics and Titan Spine.

2. Patients will be enrolled in the respective clinical trials at Laser Spine Institute's ASC in Tampa, Fla.

3. Spinal Kinetics' FDA-regulated clinical trial is studying the M6-C artificial cervical disc, a motion preservation technology. Laser Spine Institute will enroll patients in the anterior cervical discectomy and fusion control group arm of the trial.

4. Titan Spine's clinical trials will involve transforaminal lumbar interbody fusion procedures for up to 25 trial patients. The procedure fuses the anterior and posterior columns of the spine through a posterior approach.

5. This announcement comes just one month after Laser Spine Institute named neurosurgeon Reginald J. Davis, MD, its inaugural director of clinical research.

6. Dr. Davis' role is to facilitate research efforts and develop collaborative partnerships.
