ConforMIS announced interim results from an ongoing, multi-center, prospective study of its iTotal CR device.
The study includes more than 300 patients. The results were presented at the 2016 SICOT International Orthopaedic Conference in Würzburg, Germany, from June 30 to July 2.
Here are three things to know:
1. The study found on average 92 percent of patients with iTotal CR were satisfied at the one-year postoperative follow-up.
2. iTotal CR patients experienced statistically significant improvements from baseline preoperative scores across all five domains of the Knee injury and Osteoarthritis Outcome Score, or KOOS.
3. The new findings reinforce a previously published matched-pair study in Germany that showed statistically significantly higher satisfaction rates with the ConforMIS iTotal CR as compared to off-the-shelf implants.
