More than 100 surgeons across the U.S. have used Stryker's Serrato Pedicle Screws since receiving FDA approval on Aug. 16, 2017.
Here's what you need to know.
1. Serrato Pedicle Screws are the first dual-thread screws designed to reduce work by lowering the insertion torque, which allows for precise insertion and immediate bone engagement.
2. The Serrato Pedicle Screw is intended for use in noncervical spine as part of Stryker's Xia 3 Spinal System.
3. Xia 3 Spinal System is an orthopedic spinal system comprised of a variety of shapes and sizes of screws, blockers and hooks that affix different types of rods and connectors to vertebrae or the spinal column for stabilization.
4. Xia 3 Spinal System is intended for use in the noncervical spine and to provide additional support during fusion using autograft or allograft in skeletally mature patients to treat acute and chronic instabilities of deformities: degenerative disc disease, spondylolisthesis, trauma, spinal stenosis, curvatures, tumor, pseudarthrosis and failed previous fusion.
5. Full commercialization of Stryker's Serrato Pedicle Screw is still to come.
