4 things to know about Johnson & Johnson’s $227M DoD spinal implant supply contract

Johnson & Johnson won a $227.6 million fixed-price contract for spinal procedure implant packages with the U.S. Department of Defense’s Logistics Agency, according to the Department of Defense.

 Here are four things to know:

1. The contract allows Johnson & Johnson to supply spinal implant devices to the U.S. Air Force, U.S. Marines, U.S. Coast Guard, U.S. Navy, U.S. Army and federal civilian agencies.

2. The contract must be fulfilled by July 26, 2023.

3. The contract comes with a one-year base and four additional single year option periods.

4. The maximum $227.6 million amount is for the life of the contract.
