Celling Spine, a subsidiary of Celling Biosciences, acquired all assets of Link Spine, which is a subsidiary of Link Orthopedics.
Three things to know:
1. Link Spine had been searching for an acquiring company that could advance its spinal fusion system, which is focused on facet fixation and minimally invasive surgery.
2. Celling Spine believes Link Spine's technology supports its current product line and will assist in the development of a biologically enhanced spinal fusion system.
3. The company is using spine implant systems and developing biological improvements to maximize the body's natural healing cascade.
"We have always maintained that the future of medicine will rely on cells and the environment in tissue restoration and regeneration that cells play a part," said Kevin Dunworth, founder of Celling Spine. "With the addition of the Link product portfolio we are able to rely on an innovative spinal fusion system that gives the cells everything it needs to optimize the fusion."
