Private equity firm Metalmark Capital sold Collagen Matrix. Linden Capital Partners acquired the company Aug 1.
Four things to know:
1. Metalmark invested in Collagen Matrix, a global manufacturer of collagen and mineral-based products for tissue repair and regeneration, in 2014. As a result, Collagen was able to scale its platform and expand its product suite.
2. The company's collagen products can be used in a variety of applications including the device sectors of neurosurgery, orthopedics, spine and sports medicine.
3. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
4. Financial advisors for Collagen Matrix were Robert W. Baird & Co., and Piper Jaffray & Co, while William Blair did likewise for Linden.
