Xoran Technologies raised $8 million through a matching grant program for its xCAT IQ mobile CT imaging platform.
Four things to know:
1. The xCAT IQ device offers HD cranial imaging in operating rooms and ICUs.
2. A National Institutes of Health initiative will provide $4 million in research and development funds to Xoran over the next three years.
3.. Decathlon Capital Partners will provide the other $4 million through the Small Business Innovation Research grant.
4. Xoran plans to research surgical navigation and intraoperative imaging to decrease time and enhance outcomes in minimally invasive spine procedures.
