Johnson & Johnson Medical Shanghai entered into a co-marketing agreement and research and development agreement with the orthopedic robotics market leader in China, Tinavi.
Four key notes:
1. The collaboration allows Johnson & Johnson Medical Device's orthopedics business, DePuy Synthes, to bring Tinavi's spinal and trauma robotic solution to the China orthopedics implant market.
2. Tinavi's robotic planform has approval from the National Medical Products Administration in China and includes a robotic arm, intraoperative planning interface and integrated navigation with intraoperative 3D imaging.
3. This agreement aligns with Johnson & Johnson's goal to build a connected environment with technologies to enhance surgical performance, education and monitoring.
4. Tinavi is the only arm-based robotic technology that has multiple indications approved in China.
