The state of federal relief for 4 device companies

Four device companies that have received or sought financial relief due to the COVID-19 pandemic:

1. Orthopedic implant manufacturer Conformis secured a $4.7 million loan through the Small Business Administration to help maintain liquidity.

2. Aurora Spine, a Toronto, Canada-based spinal implant manufacturer, received loan proceeds of $450,877 April 27 under the Paycheck Protection Program.

3. Medicrea, a spinal surgery technology provider, applied for a $1 million loan through the Paycheck Protection Program.

4. Orthofix made plans to use $100 million from its existing credit facility in April to maintain liquidity and applied for accelerated Medicare payments.
