Spine device company Alphatec on Dec. 17 entered into a renewed agreement to acquire EOS imaging in a $116.9 million all-cash transaction.

The acquisition includes a purchase price of $79.7 million plus the retirement of $37.2 million in debt.

EOS imaging develops orthopedic imaging devices and software.

Alphatec plans to integrate EOS technology into its AlphaInformatiX platform, adding spinal imaging and anatomical modeling.

After closing, Alphatec said it expects to see gradual increases in revenue, adjusted EBITDA and free cash flow in the first full year of operations.

Alphatec plans to file the offer with the French Financial Markets Authority in February. The transaction is expected to close in the second quarter of 2021.
