Spinal implant manufacturer SeaSpine made its Regatta lateral plate system available through a limited commercial launch on Jan. 20.
Regatta features SeaSpine's TruProfile technology, designed to optimize fixation across a range of spinal pathologies and anatomy.
The lateral lumbar interbody fusion device includes one-, two- and four-hole plating options. Two locking mechanisms allow for both LLIF fixation for the two- and four-hole plates and a temporary fixation for the one-hole plate.
"The ability for the plate to seamlessly attach to the Regatta Interbody allows for a lower profile plate that reduces the need for me to further open my retractor and eliminates bulky instrumentation," Kevin O'Neill, MD, of Indianapolis-based OrthoIndy said in a news release.
