DJO, Smith+Nephew & more: 4 recent orthopedic device company acquisitions

Four acquisitions in the orthopedic device industry in the past month:

DJO acquired Trilliant Surgical, expanding further into the foot and ankle market. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

Smith+Nephew acquired Integra LifeSciences' extremity orthopedics business for $240 million.

Stryker acquired OrthoSensor for an undisclosed amount. OrthoSensor is an orthopedic technology company focused on total joint replacement.

Stryker completed its $4 billion acquisition of competitor Wright Medical Group, which develops extremity and biologic products.
