Globus Medical launches market's 1st robotic screw for spine surgery

Spinal Tech

Audubon, Pa.-based Globus Medical announced the launch of Creo One, the market's first robotic screw designed for spine surgery with ExcelsiusGPS, according to an April 15 release.

Creo One simplifies the pedicle preparation of Globus Medical's modular pedicle screw platform while maintaining navigational accuracy and increasing pullout strength.

The screw may save time and improve efficiency in the operating room by reducing procedural steps, the release said. It eliminates the need to tap and only needs a starting pilot hole to break the cortex to place the screw.
