Curiteva's 3D printed cervical interbody system debuted

The first cases with Curiteva's 3D-printed Inspire Porous PEEK HAFuse cervical interbody system were completed, the devicemaker said April 14.

The device is made with Curiteva's proprietary fused filament fabrication, according to a news release. 

"he Inspire porous PEEK technology checks all of the boxes for an ideal interbody implant: fully interconnected porosity, modulus of elasticity equivalent to cancellous bone, strong biomechanical properties, radiolucency and a bioactive surface for osseointegration," Kevin Foley, MD, chair of Memphis, Tenn.-based Semmes-Murphey Neurologic and Spine Institute, said in the release.
