Genesys Spine launches new SI joint fusion system

Spinal Tech

Genesys Spine launched the SIros O transfixing sacroiliac joint fusion system, the devicemaker said June 26.

The device is the third SI joint system offered by the company, according to a news release. Jessen Mukalel, MD, was the first surgeon to use the SIros O implant.

"The SIros O system celebrates the key principles of the SIros implant family by featuring not only the patented rifled inner diameter but also the 3D printed nanostructure that facilitates osteoconduction," Genesys Spine Chief Strategy Officer for SI fusion, Meredith Gavlick, said in the release.

SIros O is designed for sacroiliac joint fusion to treat conditions such as degenerative sacroiliitis and sacroiliac joint disruption.
