Neuralink earned a $280 million series D funding round, the company said in an Aug. 7 tweet.
The funding was led by Founders Fund. This comes a few months after Neuralink received FDA approval for human trials of its brain implant.
Neuralink, a company from Elon Musk, seeks to address spinal cord injuries through the brain implant and has been tested in animals. However, some experts are warning the company in light of safety concerns.
