Camilo Molina, MD, performed the first case with DeGen Medical's Puri-Ti spine implant, the devicemaker said Aug. 23.
The patient-specific device is designed to treat a rare progressive spinal disorder, according to a news release. Dr. Molina performed the case at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis.
Dr. Molina has a special interest in spinal tumors and deformity care and is active in research.
