NGMedical GmbH's Move-C artificial disc implant reached 1,000 implants in Germany, the devicemaker said Sept. 11.
The Move-C disc earned CE approval in 2019 and has a viscoelastic design, according to a news release. Move-C offers motion in all six planes and is the first disc with additively manufactured titanium endplates.
"The number of implantations shows the great demand for a safe and biomechanically convincing cervical artificial disc replacement," Peter Weiland, CEO of NGMedical, said in the release. "We are excited and convinced to further expand our footprint in the cervical artificial disc replacement market."
