Relievant Medsystems' Intracept spine procedure earned a positive coverage policy from Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield, the medtech company said Oct. 3.
The policy went into effect in September, and it expands access for the procedure to more than 36 million patients, according to a news release. Earlier this year, Intracept earned coverage from Cigna.
Intracept is a minimally invasive procedure for chronic vertebrogenic low back pain. More than 15,000 patients have been treated with Intracept.
