SurGenTec earns FDA nod for new SI joint fusion system

Spinal Tech

SurGenTec earned FDA clearance for its TiLink-P sacroiliac joint fusion system, the devicemaker said Oct. 3.

TiLink-P is a posterior SI joint fusion system that is minimally invasive, according to a news release. It is implanted through a small incision and can dispense bone graft within and around the device.

The device is also made with 3D-printed titanium and features Nanotex surface technology and a trellis system designed to promote osteointegration.

"By combining the power of compression across the SI joint with the muscle-sparing posterior approach and the ability to reinforce with bone graft, TiLink offers surgeons a new and efficient way to enhance healing in patients," SurGenTec CEO Travis Greenhalgh said in the release. "We anticipate that this groundbreaking technology will have a profound impact on patient outcomes and improve the overall quality of care."
